A little throwback to filming of "Angel City". It was such a great little adventure, and I feel very fortunate to have worked with so many talented people. I wanted to thank again each and everyone who made this possible. In a short space of time we managed to create something really special. I feel like it would actually resonate with so many people especially those of us who came here to chase their dreams. Cause even when things don't go according to plan, and you you start second-guessing yourself...who in the right mind would want to leave LA, really? This place has so much to offer.
Here's the storyline in brief:
“A driver leaving Los Angeles for good in his classic car, has second thoughts when he starts seeing the same beautiful girl throughout the city of angels. (Los Angeles Video project Finalist.)”

Starting here with some lame mirror selfies from filming.
Each look represents the mood and style of a particular area in LA: Downtown Art District, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Echo Park...I know that to the untrained eye, LA might look like a never ending cluster of similar looking one story buildings and rows of palm trees, with some blocks having a higher concentration of BMWs and Maseratis than others, but you just need to spend a bit more time here to start noticing the difference between the neighborhoods based on how people dress and act. I personally find it so fascinating how you can look ridiculously out of place if you just get in the car and drive for 10-20 mins ending up in a different area. Happened to me only about a 100 times here.
I think it's fair to say we filmed "Angel City" in pretty much all the major areas of Los Angeles. And green screen of course, whatcha gonna do without it in Hollywood...Enjoy.
Looking now at what we ended up with and thinking back to what Francisco initially had in his head, I can't stop wondering how much of a compromise does the job of a director require...How many miles away you end up from what you envisioned? How much you have to sacrifice and make sure it doesn't affect the end result in a bad way? I'd like to think we came pretty close to what Francisco wanted, even though we had to make quite a few changes here and there. The car, my eye color, clothing options...Every movie is a collaboration after all. I hope you guys liked it, I'm sure we all did our best. It's like chemistry - eventually all elements just fall into the right place.
